The applications of laser equipment on mobile phones include laser marking, laser drilling and laser cutting, which are common on mobile phone casings. At present, most manufacturers use plastic and aluminum alloy casings for mobile phone casings!
Mobile phones use laser marking, a permanent marking method, which can improve anti-counterfeiting capabilities and increase added value, making products look higher-grade and have a more brand feel. For example: Logo marking, mobile phone buttons, mobile phone shell, mobile phone battery, mobile phone jewelry marking, etc. Even inside the mobile phone that you can't see, there are also parts that are laser marking.
In the early days, mobile phone drilling equipment used a mechanical drilling model. After the introduction of laser technology, its high-quality cutting quality and efficient speed greatly reduced labor costs. Laser technology has the characteristics of maintenance-free, simple operation, and no consumables for non-contact processing, saving production costs. This is undoubtedly the best choice for manufacturers to shorten production cycles, save costs, and realize the process of industrial automation. The advantage of using laser drilling is that the hole diameter of the drilling is smaller, and there is no need for subsequent processing and one-time forming.
The laser cutting technology in the mobile phone shell is mainly the cutting of the shell and the cutting of the screen glass. The laser cutting technology is used more in screen cutting, while many companies use one-time forming technology and machining technology on the shell. For example, the shell of Apple's mobile phone is stamped on a whole piece of thick aluminum alloy material and removed layer by layer, retaining the groove in that piece.
Marking technology is also used inside mobile phones. It is impossible for a mobile phone manufacturer to fully control everything from upstream to production and sales by one company. They all purchase electronic components from other companies and assemble them using advanced processes. Then companies that sell electronic components and circuit boards will also mark logos and some text descriptions on their products to explain the purpose of the product, simple parameters, etc., such as chip factories, battery factories, etc., as shown in the following figure.
